Medic!!
Yay!! After like 3 months of exhausting myself the time has finally come!! I'm officially a medic trainee!! Woots!!
But there is one thing though... i must say the training is tough...
Not physically, but mentally... Firstly the lessons remind me of A levels... And that sucks...
Also, i can't imagine a medic ever remembering all the theory (the lecture book is like, as thick as my jc notes...?) in a stressful situation...
Okay, now onto training...
Everyday, lessons, lessons and more lessons... But the good part is that its 8 to 5... Well maybe that's a bad thing, cos it strains my wallet mostly (there's only 200 bucks left in my account to last me from now till the 12th, which is my payday...). Also, the process of travelling to and fro camp sucks... I really prefer brtc, well maybe not very much... There's wayyy less pumping in a private's life as compared to a recruit =P
But there still is... Everyday, its like 100 push-ups... and that sucks as well... But as they say, its supposed to "train" our biceps to carry casualties to the ambulance... =P

Wow... This place feels... almost unknown to me...
Its been like 3 months in CD (3 months of hell, really).
And i really wanna kill the guy who said CD is relaxed... Its the same as army i tell u. The PT, the discipline...
Example: Endurance Training = Minimum 4-5 rounds around brtc ( 5km? o.O)
Strength Training = Minimum 200 Lateral raises of 5kg medicine ball, 200 Half squats with medicine ball, 200 tug jumps with medicine ball, 200 push-ups with medicine ball
IPPT Training = 2.4km, pull-up training
And if u think that's bad, let me remind u that we have to do warm-up exercises before each PT
Example : 50 push-ups, 50 jumping jacks, 50 crunches, 50 squat thrusts (aka burpies)
And if u think that's bad, let me remind u that we have to do punishments for so called " ill-discipline (i.e. Not echoing loud enough, not doing the exercises properly)
Example : PTI: Ok, dunno how to echo right? Half-right change! Carry on 20!
Us: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20!
PTI: Still dunno how to echo?! Carry on another 30!
As a result of the training, i have a small fracture on both shins. This injury is also known as a shin splint. Therefore i have been excused for the last IPPT retest. These are my results before that retest (I'm still suffering from the shin splint)
Pull-ups : 10 (4 points)
Standing broad jump : 210 (0 points)
Sit-ups : 45 (5 points)
Shuttle run : 10.3 secs (5 points)
2.4km run : 14 mins (0 points)
I cant jump and run cos of the stupid injury (It hurts like hell whenever i run more than 10 steps...)
So now my chances of becoming a medic is slim (We get our posting on Monday)
What am I left with? Erm, NCDCC (Be an instructor for NCDCC CCA in schools) and Instructor (Without a doubt the worst vocation... =P)
So thats it for my life these few weeks... And i cant post pics of my life online so...
But at least i've lost 6-7 kg =D
I'm 70kg now... ^^
